EV Charger Installation in London
A smart EV charger supplied and fitted for £950 + VAT (£1,140), or we fit your own approved charger for £475 + VAT (£570). Fixed prices, booked online with a 50% advance payment. Before the visit we check photos of your consumer unit, meter and cable route, so you know about any extra work before we arrive.
Emergencies: usually with you within 3 hours, 24/7. Book an “As soon as possible” slot online with a 3-hour arrival window, or call 07508 525912.
No call-out fee: labour starts when we arrive (one-hour minimum, then half-hour blocks). For online bookings the first hour is paid in advance and credited to your invoice. Any parking or congestion charges are disclosed in advance.

If your photos show it is not a standard installation, we call you and either quote for the extra work or refund your deposit in full.
From booking to charging
- Book online and choose supply-and-fit or fit-only. You pay 50% to reserve a weekday.
- Send four photos: your consumer unit, electricity meter, where the charger will go and the cable route.
- We check them at least 3 days before the visit and tell you about anything that needs quoting.
- Installation day: arrival 8–9am. We fit, test and certify the circuit and set up the app.
- Pay the balance by secure link after the job.
We also check existing charger circuits as part of other work. During one consumer unit replacement we found the single-core cables feeding a car charger unprotected and sleeved them as part of the remedial work.

Home EV charger installation
We fit wall-mounted 7kW chargers from leading brands on a dedicated circuit run from your consumer unit, with the protective devices and earthing arrangements required for EV charging under BS 7671. We'll assess your supply, recommend the right unit, and route the cable cleanly to your parking spot.
Workplace & commercial charging
For businesses and managed properties we install single or multiple charge points with load management so several vehicles can charge without overloading the supply. Ideal for offices, fleets and residential blocks with off-street parking.
Load management & supply checks
We assess supply capacity and the proposed charging load. Depending on the installation, load management, other electrical work or network-operator involvement may be needed. The quotation identifies what is included; load management is not a substitute for assessing the supply.

How much does an EV charger installation cost?
A smart EV charger with a 5m cable, supplied and fitted, is £950 + VAT (£1,140 including VAT). Fitting only, using your own approved charger, is £475 + VAT (£570).
What's included?
Up to 10m of cable, fixing to brick or render, a dedicated circuit breaker and protection, a CT clamp, testing and certification, DNO and building control notifications, and app setup.
What costs extra?
Agreed in writing before they start, plus VAT: cable beyond 10m at £15 per metre, an 8m tethered cable at £80, and groundworks in soft ground at £30 per metre (minimum £300). Paving, garages and outbuildings are quoted after we review your photos. A consumer unit upgrade, if needed, is at our fixed consumer unit prices.
How do I book?
Book online and upload photos of your consumer unit, electricity meter, the charger location and the cable route. We review them before the visit. If the installation isn't standard, we agree a written quotation for the extra work or cancel with a full refund of your deposit. You can also call 07508 525912.
How do I pay, and when do I get the certificate?
A 50% deposit is paid when you book and the balance by secure link after the job. The certificate is issued once the balance is paid, except where the law requires otherwise. Our normal target is within 72 hours of completion and payment.
Do you install air conditioning?
No. AC Kinetic is an electrical contractor and does not install or service air conditioning.
